I have worked in the speciality of Colorectal Surgery for over 25 years, progressing to the role of Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist in 2013. I am currently the Lead Colorectal CNS at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Our team provides a service combining stoma care and colorectal surgery/oncology support. There is also an expanding Intestinal Failure unit in the hospital, and we are part of that team. As a major trauma centre and a tertiary referral centre our caseload is varied and our patients often have complex needs.

I am passionate about providing smooth personalised pathways for our patients from diagnosis to treatment to follow up, and committed to developing our service to embrace new developments while keeping our patients as the focus of all that we do.
