Lucy Fitzgerald | Clinical Advisor

Lucy is a dual qualified nurse and accredited psychotherapist with a diverse background in both physical and mental healthcare. She began her nursing career in 2008, qualifying from Dublin City University and Beaumont Hospital as a general nurse and went on to complete her children’s nursing training at Trinity College Dublin and NCH, Tallaght in 2010.

With experience across hospital and community settings, she has worked in various roles, including as a stoma care nurse since 2014. Her clinical experience expanded into bowel irrigation, where she served as Lead Nurse before transitioning into her new role as Clinical Advisor with Eakin Healthcare in 2025.

In parallel with her nursing career, she pursued training in mental health, qualifying with a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Middlesex University in 2022. She holds additional certificates in working with adolescents and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and works with the Rape Crisis Centre and in her own private practice.

Her unique combination of clinical and therapeutic expertise supports a holistic, patient-centered approach to care, grounded in both physical health and emotional wellbeing.
