I am a Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist & a Stoma Care Prescriber for University Hospitals Bristol & Weston NHS Foundation Trust.
I first started caring for patients with stomas as a Nursing Assistant on a Colorectal ward 18 years ago. I qualified after being a mature student and worked on a respiratory ward before becoming a Stoma CNS. I have been a Stoma Care Prescriber for the past 2 years.
In my spare time you will find me caring for my 7th adopted rabbit and watching Liverpool FC.
I am married to a patient Husband and have two grown up Sons who are yet to fly the nest – all 3 of them know more about stomas than they ever wished too!
