Kevin Hayles

Vice Chair, ASCN UK

Kevin has over 20 years of experience in stoma care nursing and has been an active member of ASCN UK and WCET UK throughout his career. He began his clinical journey at Barnet General Hospital and has held senior roles including, Stoma Nurse Specialist and sales Territory Manager at Hollister, Nurse Manager Ostomy at ConvaTec/Amcare and Clinical Services Manager at SecuriCare (Medical) Ltd.

Kevin has a strong track record in education, research, and global teaching, having presented at national and international conferences including ASCN UK, WCET, and WOCN on topics such as hernia prevention, transgender stoma care, and distal re-feeding. He has published in journals including British Journal of Nursing and Gastrointestinal Nursing and has authored numerous patient and professional booklets on intimacy, nutrition, hydration, exercise, and stoma care.

With a passion for improving patient care and supporting professional development, and commitment to advancing stoma care nursing, Kevin brings extensive clinical expertise and leadership experience to his role as Vice Chair of ASCN UK.
