Elisavet Karampasidi
Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust
Elisavet began her nursing career in 2017 as a registered nurse in the Emergency Surgical Ward at Watford General Hospital. In 2021, she undertook a secondment as a Stoma Care Support Nurse, followed by a role as a Clinical Education Support Nurse for surgical ward staff in 2022. In April 2023, she joined Cambridge University Hospitals as a Stoma Care Support Nurse and has since developed extensive expertise in stoma care. In October 2024, she was appointed Stoma Clinical Nurse Specialist. Elisavet leads the department’s information and data review processes and established a new clinical database to support service development and patient care. She has experience caring for patients with complex needs, including those undergoing transplant, trauma, and intestinal failure surgery, as well as paediatric patients. She is actively involved in stoma care education across the Trust and the wider region, with a commitment to delivering safe, compassionate, individualised, and high-quality care to every patient.
