ASCNUK26: 20-22 September 2026

ASCNUK26 brought together more than 500 nurses and industry professionals for three days of learning, discussion and connection, with a shared focus on advancing stoma care. This year’s theme was: Advancing Stoma Care Together: Leadership, Learning and Lasting Impact.

The conference programme explored a wide range of topics relevant to the specialty, from evidence-led care and advancing complex stoma care to urostomy and urology practice, patient experience and the future of Specialist Stoma Care Nursing.

Across the three days, delegates heard from a range of expert speakers and explored practical approaches, new ideas and emerging developments that can support the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred stoma care. Sessions also looked at shaping consistent patient-centred stoma services and advancing care through leadership, encouraging delegates to reflect on both current practice and the future of the specialty.

The conference provided opportunities to discover new products and innovations, connect with industry partners and learn more about the work of charities supporting people living with a stoma. With networking woven throughout the programme, ASCNUK26 also offered plenty of opportunities for colleagues to share experiences, exchange ideas and strengthen connections across the stoma care community.

This year’s poster display provided another opportunity to explore the work being carried out across the specialty, with research, projects and practical solutions highlighting the breadth of knowledge and innovation within stoma care. Delegates could discover the latest ideas and findings while learning from colleagues and the work being shared from across the specialty.

Special guest Mollie Pearce brought her own experiences and perspective to the conference, sharing a personal and engaging insight that complemented the wider programme and left delegates with plenty to reflect on.

With its combination of education, discussion, networking and shared experience, ASCNUK26 was a valuable opportunity for the stoma care community to come together, learn from one another and look ahead to the future of the specialty.
