I am experienced in Stoma Care for 22 years, with expertise in both acute and community settings across public and private health care. I have been a member of the Irish Stoma Care and Colorectal nursing association(ISCCNA), playing a role in developing national clinical guidelines for stoma care. I have been recognized at ASCN IN 2022 where I won “Best Poster by a Newcomer” and “Best Overall poster”. I also presented a poster at WECT which was a career highlight! I presently work in Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, where I introduced a comprehensive educational stoma training for surgical staff. I held the first World Ostomy Awareness day and set up a Nurse led Stoma review clinic. Outside of work I enjoy Zumba and travel.
